Did the paperwork and homework amounts ever lessen?! Wow- it's a lot of work! We just finished the 2nd class, so we have 8 more to go. The class shrank in size and apparently more people should (or will) drop out after the 5th week according to the teacher. Not sure if that's possible since most of the other people already have foster kids and 1 is working on adopting one of their daughters friends, so I'm sure they'll be sticking it out.
I did! We just finished the end of April. It was funny for me because I am a social worker and used to teach them. I did get something out of it, and met some cool people. It was helpful for my husband to learn about the process too.
If you're adopting through foster care, the paperwork doesn't end for a looong time. :-) Until the adoption is finalized, you will be required to fill out monthly reports, life books, incident reports, etc. Congrats on getting involved in foster care.

I agree with the above poster...this is just the beginning of the paperwork. Depending on the type of placement - you may need to fill out behavioral charts, medicine management, etc. For average placements though, we have weekly reports, life books, travel logs to doctors, therapists, etc, accident/incident reports, court reports, etc.
Luckily, we keep a google document where we store our notes, so it's easy for one of us to complete the stuff pretty quickly. Once you get into the swing of things, it's alot easier
