A few things:
1. This board is pretty slow. The Bump is still pretty active and I visit often
2. You asked "who are you" instead of offering stuff about yourself to start, and it can be a turnoff. Plus there are trolls who even visit the Adoption board, so there may be people (myself included) who can be hesitant to answer a post like that
3. No one is perfect. The saying goes, you don't have to be perfect to be a parent.
4. Don't be scared. Everyone here and on TB is very welcoming. Lurk a little, introduce yourself, and get things going
