DH and I received a call yesterday and it looks like we will be adopting our first child. Family friends are having the baby removed immediately upon birth by CPS, unless someone steps in to adopt her. It is agreed by all that DH and I are the best choice. They are longtime family friends and everyone is very pleased about this.

If all goes well, we'll be the proud parents of Mikenzie Dee by the end of March!

ETA: As much as I wish everyone just moved over here, I feel like I should tell you that the adoption board on the bump/nest is still where everyone posts. There's a ton of people, information, support to be found there.
