DD is 5.5 weeks old and has recently started occasionally sleeping longer at night (5-6 hours). She only eats from one side at a time (I offer the other, but she almost never takes it), so on the nights she sleeps longer, she might go 8-9 hours before getting back to the side she ate from before bed. For example, last night she got the left side at 9:30, the right side at midnight, and the left side at 6:00. She'll probably get up again for the right side in a couple of hours.
I love the longer stretch of sleep, but will going so long between sides affect my supply? Should I get up and pump at some point? I never really know whether she's going to sleep 6 hours or 2 hours when I put her down. If it matters, she rarely goes more than 2 hours between feedings during the day.
I would sleep. As long as you're EBF (like, actually exclusively breastfeeding, not pumping and bottle feeding) it's really unlikely to have a problem with supply. You may have to be more diligent when you go back to work, but for now SLEEP.

I would sleep. At that age, the only time I would get up to pump was if I was engorged/really uncomfortable. DD is now 10 months and only eats from one side at a typical feeding. I never noticed sleeping impact my supply. Now I typically only pump at work. Some nights DD will sleep through the night, but often she feeds once during the night. If she sleeps, I sleep.
