What is your BM/solids/nursing schedule now?
7 am - nurse
11 am - 6 oz. BM bottle @ daycare
3 pm - 8 oz. BM bottle @ daycare
6 pm - puree
8 pm - nurse
This is a new change for us as of last week and we essentially dropped his 6 pm nursing meal. (Previously 6 pm nurse, 9 pm nurse). I feel like since we dropped the 6 pm nursing session, my supply has gone down a little. I want to try to work it back in, but then that means 6 pm nurse, 7 pm puree, 8 pm nurse?
Daycare is about to add in a puree "meal" during the day and she thinks he wants more than 6 oz. in the AM too (but not sure if he will if he's getting a puree too?).

Or maybe a better way of asking this - I'm only nursing twice per day. I feel like that's not enough at 7 months but because of the hours we're apart/together, it's hard to work it all in.

I was (and still do) nursing at least 3 times a day at 7 mo. Once in the morning, once when we get home from daycare and one right before bed. If she wakes up in the middle of the night I often feed her then as well. Sometimes DD does not get solids in the evening at home, we are working on adjusting our schedule so she has a more routine dinner in the evening. So far though she has been okay with milk and maybe a small snack in the evening. She eats most of her solids at daycare during the week (lunch and two snacks).
dd is 6.5 mos, can i join in? we're doing what i'm considering "modified BLW"....no purees, but mushy "real" food, and occasionally spoon feeding so she gets the idea of what you're supposed to do with that pile of mush in front of you.
dd has no real interest in food..she puts it in her mouth, chews, and sometimes swallows..sometimes puts more in her mouth..never eats more than a couple Tbsp, really.
our schedule is: 4:30 am nurse then she takes 3 bottles, totaling about 10oz while i'm at work at approx 8, 10, 12 3pm nurse 3:30 eat/play with avocado and broccoli 4:30-ish nurse...i think she likes to "wash down" the solids she ate. nurse sporadically throughout the evening/night, approx every 2 hours.
OP, i was told to always nurse before offering puree/food/non-BM... have you tried that? i would definitely do that to just get more nurse/cuddle time in. that way he's nursing more and eating less. BM is the most important food-group in baby's diet before they are 1.
DS reverse cycles because so we might not be the best comparison. I've been thinking of increasing to 3.5oz bottles soon, we'll see.
Also, anytime he wakes at night I nurse him because he'll go right back to sleep. Not sure if he's actually hungry since sometimes he just nurses for a few minutes.
Evening nursing sessions last the longest. (15-20 min) Morning, weekend day & overnight sessions are usually 5-10 min.

Could you nurse at 5:30 or 6pm & then offer solids 30 minutes later? That's what we do.
A&S, my baby reverse cycles, too. as of this week, i just upped it to 3.5oz bottles, but she's not taking it all, so i'm trying to modify it. can't figure out what she wants! currently, it's 3oz, 3.5oz, 2.5oz. i tried 3.5 for the first feeding and she didn't finish it. i'm still adjusting her 3rd bottle. sometimes she doesn't take it at all, sometimes it's 2oz, sometimes it's 3 oz. i fill it with 2.5, and also give MIL a "just in case" 4th bottle of 1.5oz, but that has never been used in the 10-ish weeks i've been back at work.

Jennlin- It's hard to find the right amount. Since I have a large freezer stash I don't worry too much if a little bit gets wasted. Some days he'll finish all 9oz of his regular bottles, but there are times when he only takes 7-8oz total. (I also send a 1oz backup bottle, he doesn't take that very often. Only a handful of times in the last few months.)
DD is 7 months and doesn't get a on of solids. We started really late (due to a very significant family history of allergies, and she already has 2 of her own), but she does great with them. Anyways, 6:30 - nurse 7:30 - nurse (she likes to eat all morning still) 9:00 - nurse before nap mid-day/lunch - possibly some solids 1:00 - nurse to sleep for nap 5:30 - dinner - solids 7:00 - nurse to sleep 2:00 AM - sometimes wakes to nurse
I am really bad with solids. SOMETIMES my baby gets them. I need to get better. Its mostly because I was going to make them myself but then my blender broke. And she threw up 2 times after rice cereal so then I am skeptical of them.
I'm just going to get the store bought stuff as I'm too busy for all of this.
Right now I nurse her in the morning. She has 3-4 5oz. bottles at daycare. I usually nurse her at least 2 times in the evening. She has been getting up at least 1 time per night and I usually nurse her then too.
I'm going to buy some solids/purees next time I get to the store and send them to daycare so she'll get a "meal" around lunchtime. And then hopefully at dinner too.
