I just picked up a digital baby scale at a yard sale. The lady said it really gave her peace of mind as a FTM, and making sure baby was eating enough. I got a really good deal on it, so I'm not really worried too much if it doesn't get used too much. It was just something I would have never thought about having around.
Do any of you ladies use a scale at home to weigh baby before and after feedings? Or just to track weight gain?

I don't have a scale at home but periodically do weighed feedings at a bf support group.
It's great that you got a scale, I would try not to weigh every feeding though, you'll just make more work for yourself. Once a day will be plenty. Also remember bf babies eat different amounts throughout the day so don't worry if you notice a fluctuation.
Diaper output is also important so make sure you track it for at least the first few weeks. (we still track with the Total Baby app & DS is 4mo)

thanks for the replies. I don't think it will become something obsessive for me (if anything, I think it will go unused...) but I do find some comfort in having it available.

I don't think I would do it, but I obsess about weighing myself. Adding the baby would probably be a bad idea. I just paid attention to diaper output and weight gain.
i think it's awesome that you have one, but like a pp said, i'd be obsessed with it. i think it's only "necessary" in the first week or so of life, before your milk fully comes in, and you want to make sure she's at least getting the few grams or so...but after that, it's unnecessary.
