when i was in my early days (6 weeks and earlier), i did lots and lots of pumping to relieve engorgement. i have about 600oz freezer stash.. baby was nursing just fine. when she was about 8 weeks, she started doing lots of spitting/projectile/very-liquidy throwing up. through process of elimination, i've learned that dd doesn't like it when i drink milk, or have too much cheese, so i've completely stopped eating dairy. she's 14 weeks now, and hasn't really thrown up like that since about 10 weeks.
so...the freezer stash i have--she wasn't having a problem with nursing when i was pumping..and i had plenty of dairy during that time........did the milk change, or did her belly change? i reeealllly don't want to trash 600oz of milk. my *guess* is to give her maybe one bottle of it at a time, and see if it affects her? or should i not even try it?
Are you sure it was a dairy thing, and not her reacting to a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance caused by the oversupply from pumping so much? 600 oz in 8 weeks is a lot.
You said it got better after cutting out dairy - did you cut out the extra pumping from engorgement at the same time? Or did you cut out dairy and keep pumping?
If you cut it out and kept pumping and things improved, I'll believe the dairy sensitivity and I'd look into donating the freezer stash. If you also stopped pumping at the same time, it's hard to tell which one it is. I guess I'd try to feed it to her a little at a time and see how it goes. Either that or add a little milk back in and see if she gets fussy/gassy again.
I stopped pumping about 2wks before she started throwing up. She will still throw up on occasion (just not nearly as much as she used to) if I slip and have cheese on my burger.

Then I wouldn't give it to your DD. Look into donating it - through a HMBANA milk bank, Eats of Feets, or Human Milk 4 Human Babies.
