I could have swore that I read somewhere that the calorie content of BM increases at your baby gets older. (Which is why bf babies don't increase their daily intake as they grow.)
I was talking about it at my BF support group last night, I would like to find some data to print & take next week. Does anyone have link?
That one explains some of why a bf baby drinks less. I don't actually think the change over time (in the first few months) is very significant compared to the variation in a day. Your milk can vary from 13 to 35 cal/oz.
I love that that article tells me my milk is a good fat source for my dear fruit-machine baby. He needs more fat.
Have you checked kellymom? I feel like I saw an article about this topic there.
I thought that's where I initially read it too buy haven't been able to find it again. Things have been crazy at work lately, when they settle down ill do some more digging. (If I do find it there I'll post the link.$
