I find the lack of "LO is 4 months old and I'm starting solids!" "OMG, you're a horrible mother!" threads refreshing.
My kid is three months old and powerhoused some rice cereal today.
Maybe I'm a horrible mother but I felt like a worse one when my kid was staring me down. Now, he gets all excited when he sees his spoon and bowl floating before his eyes. lol

I can't wait to get to that point. We just started solids -- he hasn't mastered the timing and closes his mouth before I get the spoon in and ends up wearing more food than he eats.

We might be there soon. LilShirley is 3 months old and was eyeing the shit out of my cookie this evening. Sorry, kid, you get to start with banana and green beans.

I personally found the separated baby stage boards (0-3, 3-6, etc.) to be helpful. That way I don't have to sift through the newborn related posts to find ones that relate to my 3 month old.
DS is also eyeing the food. He's started drooling and shoving the baby spoon we give him into his mouth. I wanted to wait until 6 months, but I don't think that's gonna happen.
