my 14wk old still hates her car seat occasionally. sometimes she'll go right to sleep, but if she doesn't, she cries and cries...at what point do i pull over and calm her down?
Have you tried to turn your radio to static? It has helped a few of my friends whose kids didn't like their car seats. Just tune the radio to static and have it loud enough so your LO can hear it. For some reason it's calming to them.
Haven't tried that yet, but will next time she hates it in the car. Btw, the noise of static freaks me out (since seeing "The Ring"), but this can be a momma's sacrafice to make her baby feel better
You could also try rolling down the windows. My fist son also hated the car when he was itty bitty. I'd usually stop after 15 min of intense screaming. He grew out of it around 5-6 months.

I have a CD I play every time DS is in the car. Listening to the familiar songs tends to calm him down. If he's screaming inconsolably for 10 minutes, we pull over and tend to his diaper/feeding.
