I have 19 mo b/g twins that we adore so much, H and I are thinking of having a 3rd. For those of you who had more kids after your multiples, how did the transition go? I know it'll be tough obviously with 2 toddlers and a newborn. Is anybody willing their expericence? How it worked out or what you'd do differently?
I did it the other way around but know a lot of twin moms who had a 3rd. Nothing wrong with it! Totally doable!
Not sure about how you got twins but The chance if having twins again needs to be in your mind if that is a Chance. There is a mom in my twins club pg with her 2nd set. First was fraternal boys and now it is ID boys.
Having a 2nd set is definitely on mind. I did fertility treatments the 1st time, but we already decided we won't do that for the 3rd, so hopefully that factor won't be as likely.
We had originally planned to start ttc a third when our twins were 2.5-3 but we held off for a variety of reasons; just wasn't a good time. And I'm glad because honestly, the past 6 months (since they turned 3) has been the toughest stage since the twin-newborn stage! Really glad we didn't have another baby in the mix right now. That said, there are plenty of MoMs who have twins + 1 when their twins are 2-3 (or younger) and make it work. Good luck!
We had our youngest son 4 days before our twins turned 2. We had planned on going back to the RE when the boys were 2 as were were told we had a 1% chance of having a baby on our own. Instead that 1% chance gave us a surprise when the twins were around 16 months old and I found out I was pregnant again.
