Haha...seriously. DD is way too old to be eating snacks every time we go out, but really, how else am I going to keep her quiet.
Oh, and my closest grocery store just got these kids sized shopping carts, and DD loves them. She's like a nascar driver with those things. I finally told the cashier we would no longer be shopping there...the kids carts are the devil!

I leave DD with DH when I go grocery shopping. There is something about the grocery store that makes her possessed. If it's been a really rough week, I milk that childfree time as much as I can.
My kid just threw a hell fit in the middle of Joann's. I'm seriously considering a leash.
I also hate grocery shopping. But not as much as dishes.
I tried a leash once in Hancock fabrics when Alaina was 2ish. She was flailing like a fish on a hook and crashing into all sorts of shit. I wouldn't recommend it!
I hate running errands with that kid. I'm hoping for a solo grocery store trip for mothers day!
I am making my monthly trip to the Commissary (military grocery store) today. It takes me about 3 hours round trip, which is why I only do it once a month. Luckily I have a friend coming to watch my girls so I don't have to take them with me, they are a nightmare to take along. Just wish I could do something for myself during those 3 hours instead, but alas we need food for the next month so off I go.

See I just make my husband do the commissary run, he's already on base for work anyway, I just use the excuse that its a waste of gas for me to drive the 20 miles over there. Of course it means I don't always get what I want, but its totally worth it!

I actually like grocery shopping. I get my half-caff hazelnut vanilla coffee, and take my time browsing. Of course, it helps that my kids are old enough to be in school so I don't have to take them with me (and if for some reason I do need to shop when they're home, and during the summer if it's not a camp day, Wegmans has their WKids play area where I can check them in and everybody's happy). NOT looking forward to the fall when DD #1 ages out of that! Then again, she's actually quiet and helpful when I shop so having her along wouldn't be terrible assuming her little sister will go play without her.
Now cleaning bathrooms, that's my least favorite chore. I'd do a zillion loads of laundry or take my kids to every store in existence just to avoid that!

I didn't used to mind bringing L with me to the grocery store. Until recently, when he gets pissed when he sees me put bananas/yogurt/any-grocery-item in the cart, and not giving them to him.

Someday, someday! My DH is only home 3 days a month so I have to do it. But when he retires in 2 years and moves home he is hoping to get a job as a civilian on MacDill and that is when he will be doing the commissary shopping because it is 25 mile one way for us. Of course we will have to have a training session at first so he gets what he is supposed to. When I sent him to the commissary when we lived on Ft. Belvoir when the girls were 4 months old I asked him to pick me up a small beef roast that I could make. He did come home with a small 3lb. roast, but it cost $25. I didn't even know the Commissary sold pieces of meat that cost $25. I mean it was very tender, but still I have never spent over $7 on a piece of beef. But at least he tried, I know some husbands that won't even do that.
