Is it you or your DH?
DD fell earlier and hurt her arm. DH freaked out and she didn't even end up with a mark after putting ice on it for a few minutes. Of course I think him freaking out automatically thinking she broke her arm made DD's reaction even worse.
We are both fairly calm. DH tends to freak about head injuries more, primarily because he doesn't see as many falls a day as I do. We both deal with blood pretty well.
LOL, I thought you meant, who is more calm, me or my child?
DH wins. He is the most blase person I've ever seen when it comes to his kids getting hurt. I sometimes think that if one of them managed to saw off an arm, he'd just look at them mildly and say "Wow, that's a good one! Let's go ahead and get a tourniquet on you and call 911..."
We are both pretty calm. I will call the pedi if my gut says I need to, but generally speaking we get up, dust off, maybe a hug and some ice if it's a big bump, and we're off. DH doesn't do well w/ blood, beyond a simple scratch, but he puts on a good face for DD.

I am definitely more calm. DH goes into freak out mode over every fall and bump. In instances where things really are more serious, I don't go crazy until the situation is over and I think about how bad something could have been.

I lol'd at this. The munchkin has been walking for a month and a half, so now he isn't falling as much. But, at first my poor husband was freaking out every time he bonked his head and I finally told him "do you have any idea how many times he has hit his head today? I promise he is fine" I think I have him beat, but not by too much.

I think that's part of the problem. DD was always a pretty cautious baby and didn't fall very often when learning to walk. Now she is a daredevil and DH is not used to it. Although we did take her to the emergency room once when she was little. She was walking and fell onto the corner of a baseboard heater at my mom's house. It was so close to her eye that I wanted to get her checked out.

I'm the calm one. Like PPs, I see him fall all the time so I'm desensitized, while H thinks it's a national tragedy.
Same thing when DS has a runny nose. H is all ZOMG you have to take him to the doctor RIGHT MEOW! Me on the other hand, as long as DS isn't running a high fever, meh.
We both act pretty calm but are freaking out on the inside. We wait until after to get shook up but DH is usually worse. He tends to leave the room after all is said and done to cry.
