I didn't know the Bump boards were over here, too!
I had posted over on the bump about having a hard time meeting other working mom friends. Well, today my son's daycare had a Mother's Day tea, and I met three other moms there that I liked a lot. We talked about starting a facebook page for the class so we can all communicate and set up playdates and stuff, and they loved the idea. Hopefully this will turn into some friendships.

Thats great! My DD is in a daycare about 30 minutes from home, and most of these kids (including her) have been together since they were 8-10 weeks old. We (80%) of the moms in the room connect via facebook to set things up, gripe about things, let each other know when one is sick (like if the stomach bug hits) etc. Its a great way to make friends
That's great! I found that the parents in my DD's class really started connecting right around their 3rd birthdays when they started having real bday parties (at bouncy place type stuff, outside the house/family only parties). Around that time she would come home and talk about her friends so it kind of broke the ice when the kids requested to do playdates and invite so&so to the bday parties. Up to then it was just awkward passing in the dropoff/pickup. My DD will be leaving her friends to go to a new school (we moving) and I am super sad she'll be leaving kids she's been with since she was 5 months old (she's 4.5 yo now).
