So it's Dominic or Malcolm for baby #2, but the middle name for Malcolm is giving us issues. If it matters, our last name is 3 syllables, begins with Sh, and sounds Irish. Our other son's name is August and we call him Gus. Thanks for the input ;D

I looooove Malcolm nn Mal. Of the options above, I like Malcolm Alexander. Any reason why you wouldn't go with Malcolm Reed? If your LN is longer, it might flow better with a shorter MN
I like Malcolm, and I think it goes better with August than Dominic. Also I agree with jessuh, Malcolm Reed is perfect.
I agree with both of you! And we even had another R middle name picked out for Malcolm that we loved, but I realized that his initials would be M.R.S. I just don't think that would be great for a boy. Am I overthinking it?

Yeah, over thinking. Initials don't bother me at. all. unless they spell ASS or KKK. Most people won't know or care about his initials. Malcolm Reed, go for it! ;D

August was in our top 2 when we had #2. I looove that name but we went with Mathis because it has a back story vs just loving it.
I cast my vote for Domonic. I think it's such a strong name and not as common as Malcolm.
