I got my eyebrows threaded today (instead of waxed) for the first time. I kind of liked it.
How long does the threading last? I couldn't tell if it is more like a razor where the thread is just cutting the hair at the skin or if its pulling from the roots.
I only had it done once. I think it rips the hair out like waxing does. At least that's what it felt like. Maybe I had a bad girl but I hated it compared to waxing. It was like slowly pulling off a band aid instead of just ripping it off.
It may depend how picky you are. I tend to go 8-12 weeks depending on how busy I am since it's low on my priority list. I think the lady who does it would prefer I came every 6-8 weeks. I just tweeze a few stray hairs in between visits.
I never waxed my eyebrows so I can't compare but I'm a definite fan of threading.
I try to go once a month. My place is only $8, so it's not an expensive habit. Sometimes I go more like every other month, and threading takes a little longer. I just went after a month, and it was a piece of cake.

It pulls the hair out like waxing or tweezing and lasts the same amount of time. I love it, for me it's less painful and doesn't irritate my skin like waxing does.

Agree. I prefer threading because it doesn't pull and rip off layers of skin and I think the shaping is more precise.
I think waxing hurts much more but for a very short amount of time; threading hurts less but the pain is prolonged for a few minutes. It does hurt less over time though. The first time threading was the worst.
