I bought a Living Social deal last year for the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago. It was very easy to use and there were no black out dates/restrictions for the deal I purchased. I'm pretty sure we used the deal over a holiday weekend. I would just read the fine print and if you're ok with what's in it, buy the deal.
We used one for Niagara Falls and one for the Ren Cen in Detroit - both trips were fine - but there were days we couldn't use it - I think Saturday night.
We are going to Omni Bedford Springs using a Groupon Getaway deal. There were blackout dates, but we wanted something in June and during the week, and this fit what we wanted, and was a great price. We had some problems with trying to do everything online. We ended up having to call Omni directly and they helped us out. If you decide you don't want to use it once you buy it due to black out dates, they will refund your money up until 1 month before the promotion ends.
Yep. Bought one from Groupon and it was awesome. We recently bought another one that we will be using at the end of the summer. That one did have some blackout dates
I bought one for a hotel in Maine. I had a hard time scheduling two consecutive days. The clerk told me this was because of the large volume they sold through Groupon. I ended up waiting a few months and was able to get a couple midweek nights.
Friends used one from living social for their honeymoon to Cap May. No issues that I know about. They said there wasn't any black out dates, but I'm not sure if there were any other restrictions.
