This girl that I've know since jr high is back in town. (She moved to London about 2 years ago.) We were never super close to begin with, but hang out with a lot of the same people, so I used to see her quite often.
I felt obligated to FB her before we left for London in Feb to see if she wanted to meet up for a drink and things just didn't work out.
She FB me about a week ago letting me know that she was going to be in town and that she was getting some people together for lunch and kayaking at Agua Verde. It looks like it's going to rain the day they're planning on going.
I saw her last weekend at a bar, said hi, but neither of us really made an effort to talk past that. As we were all leaving she asked if I was still planning on going to Agua Verde and I said yes.
Now, I just don't want to go. It's going to rain and I feel like I've been bleeding money lately. I really don't have anything against her, it's just that we don't really have anything in common any more.
agree with everyone else! and I do think you feel like you're bleeding money is a total legitimate excuse if you feel like being that open about your finances!
