Our rug got ruined - coffee spilled on it (a whole cup) and the colors started to bleed. You cant see it from the picture bc we flipped it to try to hide it. didnt work. I'm looking at 2 rugs. I like the first because it would be a nice pop of color, DH likes the second bc he feels it "goes" better. What do you think?
I like both! I'm all for a pop of color, but I feel like the colors of the 2nd one suits your furniture and is similar to what you have now. The 1st rug is really nice though, love those colors.
Yay! You confirmed what I want. I think it will add a great pop of color to our fairly bland living room and hide stains really well. Plus the pattern has blue in it thats very similar to the blue of our couch, so it'll pull it all together (I watch a lot of design tv)
I like them both. I think I would base my decision on which one would hide stains best. Right now, we stick to Ikea rugs. Andrew has proved that we can't have nice things.
I really like them both. I think #2 would be a good background rug if you wanted it to blend in. I feel like #1 would be more of your focal point for the room, and you'd have to decorate around it, which could be a lot of fun. I think both would work well. Good luck and make sure you post a pic of which one you put in!
I would go with 2. If you do the first one maybe throw in some red elsewhere in the room - vase/drapes/throw pillows to work those colors in a bit more and may e some tribal/ethnic accessories to bring the mood of it all together,

I never buy a rug from anywhere but overstock, the prices are great and it's 2.95 shipping, even for an 8x10 rug!

Our dog never pees inside but I had to lock her up for a short time today because we had a play date who's 3 year old is afraid of dogs. It was retaliatory pee.

Jack (the peeing beagle) was also a retaliatory peer. He was totally housetrained just didn't like being left at home. He had terrible separation anxiety, poor guy.
All of the rugs in our house are from Overstock, too. They are Horizon rugs and such good quality...wool with some rayon and no polypropylene or however you spell it.
