At the end of this month we will be switching to Proboards V5. (Finally! We have been talking about this since we came here in May.) In the meantime, you can check out our test board to see the changes & new features. I would love your feedback. It is completely customizable so if there is anything you would like me to change let me know now before the big rollout.
The link is only for the test board - our actual board link will not change. The test board (along with any posts or changes made to it) will be deleted, so don't migrate early or anything.

Off the top of my head -
- participated button (like the participated tab on the app) - like button - tagging users in posts - notification area (notifies you when you've been mentioned in a post, when someone replies to you, when you have a message, etc)
I think those are the things that will be the biggest changes for users. The admin area was completely overhauled but y'all don't care about that.

Oh and they changed the account setup so if you have more than one account it's super easy to switch between them. And I can no longer see things like your email or your IP - so more privacy for you.
Is there anyway to sort replies to show newest at top instead of going to the last page to see the last reply? Does anyone else remember at feature on TN?

I really liked that.
If you click on the word 'new' it takes you to the lastest post that you haven't read. That works in this version, too.

I don't see a like button or a way to tag. Am I blind?

Like button is the thumbs up icon in the top right. Tag people by typing username or clicking the insert user link in the reply area.
Is it possible to put polls below the text of an OP rather than above it? i.e., imbed the poll within the text more like what it looked like on The Nest rather than have a poll sit above whatever text OP wants to type?
reminds me - can we get the ability to edit polls once they post?
I'm not liking all the "Stories from around the web" at the bottom of posts.
Yeah I am going to remove that.
Avatars are huge. Is there any way to change that universally?
Not sure, I'll find out. Is there still a way to preview what we type up before actually posting?
If you click reply you can compose your reply in the visual box, which is like a live preview.

I don't think so. Are you going to add back all the smileys?
It looks like there's less screen space devoted to actual posts. If you compare the old and new screen for any board (I used MM), the post title column is much narrower than it used to be, which makes even some short post topics go to two lines, so the same number of posts now takes up more vertical space. There's also way more space given to the Created By, Replies, and Views columns, and wider strips of blank space on either side of the screen, which IMO is wasted space. And inside each post, the text column is a lot narrower in the new format.
ETA: Or what speckledfrog said far more succinctly. lol.
Oh one more thing. I was going to point out how the folder icon next to each post is larger now, which also makes each row take up more space, and can it be made smaller. But a better question is do we need those at all? They don't really serve a purpose. Do we have the option to get rid of them?
