I tried to post over there, but it makes me login. And then when I login, it says that my email is not associated with an account over there.

I can get rid of them. They distinguish between regular threads, stickies, hot threads, etc. I dunno how important it is to everyone that they are there - do you guys pay attention to them at all?

Login with your username & password first, then it will setup your global login.

eta - or if you already have a global login, click the 'link another forum account' link.

What's the point of tagging? Is it just so you can search or does some sort of notification come up to say you've been tagged?

It's different. Notifications of replies, tags, etc show up in the 'profile' tab at the top, notifications of PMs appear in 'messages'.

Yeah, I can modify everything in the themes. I'm just not much of a graphic designer and it seems like everyone who has created themes for v5 so far is about 13 and loves orange, so there isn't a lot to choose from yet. If any of you are good at that sort of thing you're welcome to take a crack at it.

Will there ever be a way to see messages I've sent to people? Right now I can only see messages I've received which makes it hard to remember conversations.

What about a shoutout box at the top where people can just post little comments. So they don't have to do a whole post, but just a random comment.

Rarely. It's more that I'll notice something is hot, but if it's 9 pages, I don't really need an icon to tell me so.

Will we be able to turn off notifications? I don't relish the idea of being notified every time someone responds. I unfollow facebook posts just for that reason.

There is a chat board under the 'chat' link. It's better than the one here in that it's fully integrated instead of being an outside widget, so no going there and making up random names and being creepy like people like to do here.
