Dog ate chicken bones--wwyd?

I have a small dog (approximately 20 pounds) who got into some chicken wing bones while I was in the shower. He ate a few--including the bones--but I can't say for sure how many. It was less than 5. I called our vet and they just said to keep an eye on him. We have been giving him bread (this happened around 1 PM) and someone has been home with him all day. He has pooped twice and it was fine, and he's acting normal.

Tomorrow we both have to work and he will be alone from about 9:30 AM until 6. Maybe I'm worrying too much but I don't want to leave him this long. Would you be worried? Should we take him to daycare?

I bet he'll be fine, but if I were you, I would take him to daycare. I would feel better if someone was around to notice if he were having a problem.

Cooked chicken bone can splinter but if something was going to happen I'd imagine it would have happen already...but I'd do day care just in case.

Was the chicken raw or cooked?

It was cooked. We took him to daycare just for peace of mind. He was so excited when I pulled in to drop him off that he couldn't wait to get out of the car. So at the very least, he is having an exciting day

How is he now? I think if he's gone this whole day without incident and is eating and pooping ok, then you're probably in the clear.
