90's vinyl in a checkerboard pattern. I don't hate it, but I certainly don't love it. It has really obvious wear patterns in the foot traffic areas, but it's easy to clean and holds up to spills and such.
My ideal kitchen would be a wood floor. MH wants tile. Pros and cons to both.

I have tile. I hate it, but probably because it ALWAYS looks dirty (the style) and the people who installed it couldn't level a floor to save their lives, so some of them are cracked and we had to regrout some places. If it were a solid color and installed correctly, I'd be happy.
We have vinyl wood planks and I HATE it will a passion. Eww eww eww. It's quite obviously fake and I can't wait to replace it. The only good thing about it is that it takes a beating. When we replace we'll do tile.
Maybe I have icky vinyl plank? It's a darker shade with lots of knots, almost trying to look rustic which I don't think works for a house that was built in the 80s. I really don't like the way it feels under my feet.

We have vinyl. I like vinyl b/c it's soft underfoot and pretty low maintenance. But I'll probably go with tile when we upgrade and carrry the tile throughout the entryway/kitchen and 1st floor bath (there's 4 different types of 70's-tastic vinyl now).
I have tile, but I hate it. I really want hardwoods. The tile is very small with lots of grout lines, which makes it really difficult to keep clean. We have to mop at least once a week, and get down on our hands and knees quite often. We want to replace it within the next couple of years.
I would love real hardwood floors in our new house, but with a 100lb golden retriever, I'd get sick about the scratches. We are doing a really nice wood laminate.

We have vinyl tile and I'm pretty happy with it! About to lay grout able vinyl tiles in the next few weeks.
FTR, we installed resilient vinyl planks upstairs (trafficmaster in ironwood) and I'm in LOVE with it. So cheap and easy and trendy, but cheap enough that it wouldn't kill me to replace in X years when I want a change or if it gets messed up. Seriously, the stuff was practically cheaper than a nice area rug and I get compliments on it from everyone who sees it! (we have hardwoods in the rest of the downstairs and carpeted stairs so I don't kill myself lol)
We currently have ugly, dated vinyl. I hate it with a passion. It is slowly moving up on the renovation list. We haven't decided what we'll put down. It will either be slate (super impractical, I know), tile or cork.

We have laminate (that looks like linoleum, but isn't). There's nothing really great about it, except that it came with the house and doesn't cost me anything to keep. It's easy upkeep with snow/salt in the winter and dog hair all year, I guess. And Doggie Derkins' toenails don't hurt it.
When we eventually redo the kitchen, the kitchen + foyer (continuous flooring stretch) will be done in porcelain tile. I may put heat under it -- we're doing that in the powder room this summer, we'll see how awesome it turns out to be.
I am all about durability in the foyer + kitchen, since they are super high traffic and abuse.

We have the ugliest vinyl tile right now, but we're getting stained cork when we redo the kitchen.
My parents just got some kind of Armstrong vinyl tile that looks similar to stone. The tiles are larger than 12"x12" and there are grout lines between the tiles so it doesn't look like typical vinyl. It's surprisingly nice.

I hate having hardwood in the kitchen. Hate, hate! I'm constantly worried about liquid spilling on the floor and sitting there. I feel like it's never clean. I'd rather have tile, but it will never happen with our open layout.
We have cork. I'm not crazy about it. It hasn't held up well in the high-traffic parts of the kitchen like by the back door. We're probably re-doing the kitchen sometime in the next year, so we'll rip it out at that point. We're debating oak, tile or linoleum. We have oak in the rest of the house, and there's something to be said for continuity. However, my parents' hardwoods in the high-traffic kitchen definitely have more wear on them (30 years+ old) than the other floors, even after a couple of refinishings; the wear shows up there pretty quickly. Also, we're also trying to use period-appropriate materials, and if we did go with wood, a softer secondary wood would probably be more appropriate but not what we want. Tile was probabaly too high-end for our very modest bungalow, but it's indestructible, fairly cheap and easy to maintain. I don't know much about linoleum, but I want to learn more. It also seems really easy and cheap. I stay away from all vinyl in our house. I'm very concerned about its off-gasing, deadliness in a house fire and the un-EF mfg. process.
Ceramic tile in the kitchen and dining room. I picked the color out specifically because it already looks a little dirty
Its an off white base with strains of black, brown, tan, and reds through it and some texture so if it gets a little dirty it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. We have the same tile in all the bathrooms and in the basement foyer.
