Sort of feel bad...not really

I go back to work on Monday from winter break. It's been great hanging with Ansley and playing, but today I dropped her off for a shortened daycare day. I need a haircut and then DH and I are going to go to the movies. (We really should be cleaning the house) we haven't had a date since she was born an I really need a good distraction. I did the lazy mom (for me) and sent her with disposables and formula. Ill go get her at 4.
I feel likes should feel bad for not spending this last day with her, but hey...we pay for daycare whether she's there or not. Might as well take an "us" day

It's so important to get some me/us time still. DH and I snuck out to a movie last week and it was so nice to go on a date w/o the baby.

I go back on Monday too and I sent my baby and my SS to my MIL for the day so I could go to lunch and shop. Afterwards I'm going home to watch a housewives marathon on dvr. I feel guilty too but hey we need me time!!

I took Sophia twice this week for shortened daycare days for a break! One to clean and take down Christmas stuff and the other just for DH and I! We had lunch out, did the deed, and watched a Breaking Bad marathon session on netflix. Twas awesome! Let's not feel guilty!

When I go back to work, I will work one weekend a month and have 2 days off during the week instead. I think it will be nice to have those work free and baby free days to just lounge and do housework. I fully intend on sending her those days since we'll be paying anyways.

It was so nice to have a few hours to ourselves. A had a great time with her friends again. They just changed locations, so all the kiddos have had a hard time transitioning. Of course, Ansley had no trouble at all. She was just excited to play with everyone. I'm hoping that getting her back into her routine, sort of, will help with some of our sleep issues of late. AND....I have summers off, but will probably still have to pay daycare to hold her spot. I fully intend to take her occasionally so we can get some stuff done.
