First of all, I'm totally addicted to knitting these Norwegian style mittens now. A lot of my friends will be getting new mittens this winter.
So here's my question: have you ever flown with knitting on wooden DPNs? Was it an issue at security? I've only flown with plastic circulars and it wasn't an issue but DPNs are scarier looking. I'm thinking maybe it's a good idea to put all the stitches on scrap yarn just in case? I really don't want it taken away.
I've never had a problem in the states. I always have a problem with all needles flying internationally. You know, on the nice long flights that I need them. Grrr!

I'm pretty sure on the TSA website it says all knitting needles are okay. I'm jealous of your ability! I never really progressed passed scarves/blankets.
Dude, those are gorgeous! I made a pair of fair isle mittens once with a kit from Knit Picks. I loved those damned mittens, and they were a lot of work, and then I lost one.
