We love to travel, but it's definitely harder to plan while TTC. We've still been doing big trips, but I won't book more than 6 months out, and not to any countries where I wouldn't feel safe while pregnant.
I think we'll go to Hawaii this fall. Should be fun, pregnant or not.
We just got back from the US, haven't planned anything new yet. We'll surely go to Italy at least for a long weekend at some point, and likely to the US, unless I get pregnant before the end of March. If I get pregnant in the first half of this year, I guess we'll do a longer Italy trip and skip the US, or maaaayyyybe a September visit to Colorado to go shopping/see my friends/dad.
(Most of DH's family is in Italy, mine's in the US. We really hardly ever get to go anywhere else unless it's driving distance.)
Right now nothing booked but i think i might try to convince H to do a trip around Christmas time next year if that fails we might try to do something for our anniversary. Typically our travel funds have been used up by seeing family but I declared after Thanksgiving no more next trip is for us not to go see family. (We are the only ones in our families who live away from them, though my parents are really good about visiting us and his dad tried to visit at least once a year).
We are going on a Caribbean cruise on a few weeks! I am so excited to go somewhere warm, if even for a few days. Were also taking a 2 week road trip around Utah with my family this summer. Plus a few mini trips to see family at some point.
My H and I disagree in a major way about what a good vacation is. I am a "Sun, Sand, Tequilla" girl and he is a "Mountains, Whiskey, Cool Weather" boy. UGH!
Two years ago we did Puerto Rico for a week. In October we rented a cabin in the mountain in TN for a week. Nothing is on our calendar for 2013, but I am hoping for a beach vacation again! I agree, though, it's hard to book far out because I can't stop being all, "What if I am pregnant and can't travel?"
Maybe it will work like a reverse pregnancy test. Every time I POAS I start my period w/in 24 hours. Perhaps is a book a vacation for 11 months from now, I'll get a BFP! lol.
Planning a trip to Sardinia in June with my mom and aunt....unless this cycle works, and even then I still may go. After that prob spend the summer in NH with my folks while DH is away.

If your funds can handle it, try Tuscany maybe. We rented an awesome little house in the mountains of Tuscany this summer. The weather was still nice, just cooler than at sea level, but at night it gets pretty cold, so your DH might like that, during the day we did trips to other cities, we were really in the middle of nowhere (because the mountain town had sentimental value to us), but still, it was only a 1 hour drive to Pisa (which is at the sea). If you'd get closer to the Tuscan coast, you can have both mountains and beaches, and you just drink the awesome awesome local wines and liquors instead of whatever your drink of choice is
(If we do a European vacation again this year, I actually definitely want to go back there, that was the most relaxing and fun vacation I've had in ages! And OMG the food!!! Best food ever!)
We'll know in a few weeks if we can plan anything or not. If we have any chance of having a baby in 2013 (and if not, than we won't have any chance at all) then we have to save up our time off for maternity leave/ baby stuff, but if that doesn't happen than we have a few small things planned. We'll visit my parents once or twice. They live in Cleveland, so not too exciting, but we'll try to do some fun stuff while we're there. We always take DD on a mini trip to Sesame Place, so we'll do that, but maybe we'll get season passes and go there a few times. We're thinking about going to DisneyWorld in Jan '14
Our travel almost exclusively revolves around the MLS schedule. We travel with other fans to cities around the country to watch the team play. This coming season our team is in the Champions League, which means they will play in Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. We don't know where yet, but we definitely want to make one trip!
I also really want to get back to VA to visit my grandmother and my BFF who is having a baby boy at the end of this month. I haven't been back in 4 years

We did a Caribbean cruise a few years ago and had a great time. What are your ports?
Jewel: Nassau, Puerto Rico, St Thomas, and Turks and Caicos. We are really excited about the Turks. We were going to go there for our honeymoon, but ended up going to St Maarten instead. We enjoyed it, but my H really has his heart set on diving in the Turks so he's happy to finally go do that. I've done Alaskan and Transatlantic cruises before, but never a warm Caribbean one. It will be a nice break from the wintery weather here at home!
We just did the Alaska cruise a couple of months ago too. It was fantastic, but definitely different from the nice, warm vacations. Our Caribbean cruise started in Puerto Rico, stopping in St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, and Antigua. You guys will have such a blast. I'm so jealous!
