How do you handle television for both kids? With DS it was easy to just not really let him watch much of anything until he was close to two so the only time we had the tv on with him would be for sports. Now with two I find this much more difficult since the baby plays in the same room where DS watches TV ... Not all the time but a good amount. All he gets to watch is usually Disney Junior or a kid friendly movie here and there but I find DD to be really interested in it. So do you restrict it more for both or move the baby to a different room? Moving to another room would be tough if there is only one of us.

We have the same issue. #2 is also much more interested in it than older DD was at this age. We don't have the TV on until 6pm and it goes off at 8am. The baby goes to bed at 7 and I try to feed her dinner facing away from it (older DD eats dinner ). We can't avoid all screen time because we need it to tranquilize the big one....during hair combing for example.
In all seriousness, I don't generally allow TV during the day unless I'm sick. H can watch Netflix in our room for a while before we get out of bed and some more at night after DH gets home. But that's it.
So yes she will sit and stare at it or do her best to watch even if we are feeding her the other direction. One solution has been to let DS watch something on the iPad but I also like to be with him when he watches so we don't just leave him by himself. But I am also not of the opinion that TV is poison - I actually think it has helped DS quite a bit with language and reading skills and it is some relax time for him after a long day at preschool.
The boys are at school on the weekdays so it's not on then, but I don't really care on the weekends because they don't watch a ton of TV anyway. They spend a lot of time outside or in their room playing together. She doesn't sit still long enough to watch TV even when it is on. It's actually on right now and she's playing with her own toys. DS1 wasn't interested in it until he was closer to 18 months.

Sam isn't enamored with it the way Riley was, we kept it off completely when she was younger because she'd sit and stare. Riley gets on average 2 shows in the morning, whatever is on Disney Jr, and then the TV goes off the rest of the day. Sam is normally crawling around, sometimes in the kitchen with me. He'll stop and look once in awhile, but not so much I stress about it.
