ET scared the crap out of me as a young kid. Now, basically everything. I'm a total wimp when it comes to scary movies! Movies where people get possesed and movies that involve serial killers/psychopaths tend to be the worst offenders.

I saw The Shining for the first time at an outdoor showing in the park and during one of the scary parts a BAT flew into me and my friend. Scarred for life!!!
I thought The Ring was really scary. I slept in my roommates bed that night.
I honestly haven't ever been scared of a scary movie. I mostly think they're cheesy. However, I get creeped out by a lot of things. I HATED the guy in the Lovely Bones. That whole scene really creeped me out and I thought about it for days.

I have a deep and abnormal love for Stanley Tucci and was very sad that he took that role. I had a hard time watching that.
Andplusalso, the book was better.
Book was better! The point of view it was written in is hard to do in a movie.

I can't handle anything scary. I'm still haunted by the Blair Witch Project. I'll never get that image of the guy standing in the corner or the little handprints out of my mind.

I like Stanley Tucci too, but man...he plays a GREAT and very convincing creeper. *shivers*
I refuse to watch any scary movies. And a lot of suspense/thrillers scare me too. If a scary movie preview comes on I close my eyes, plus my ears and say lalalalala until DH tells me it's over. If it's a commercial I change the channel. I can't handle that crap!
Eta: the few "scary" movies I have seen are Sixth Sense, The Others, What Lies Beneath and that's about it. Definitely no possession or paranormal shit- I hate that!!
Poltergeist scared the shit out of me when I was little...that damn clown, and those corpses floating in the pool...omggggg...that is one of the scariest movies I've seen.
Also, The Sixth Sense. That was reeeeally scary when I saw it. I hate when things jump at me. I was also spoiled the ending before I saw it...actually, I asked to have it spoiled. I'm terrible.
MIL spoiled The Sixth Sense for me. I want to say what she said but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Oh well, it's not important, but we were watching it and were about half way through when she came home and ruin my whole experience in one sentence.
And speaking of M. Night (I don't know how to spell his last name). The alien movie he did there was one part that creeped me out pretty bad. When the kids are at the birthday party and the alien walks by and stops and looks right at them. DON'T LOOK AT ME CREEPY KILLER ALIEN!
I try to avoid scary movies because I'm a total wimp. The Shining is pretty scary, for sure!
As a kid, I was scared by Adventures in Babysitting. Yep, as I said, I'm a wimp!
lol!
That scene in the garage was pretty scary for a sec!
I couldn't sleep for a week after seeing The Ring. I mean, obviously I slept SOME, but I was so scared. lol. After that, I swore off scary movies for several years! I am still not a big fan. For some reason zombies don't scare me too much, so if I watch a scary movie it's usually one with zombies.
This was me after The Grudge! I confess I slept with the lights on for a few nights after. I can watch slasher films and zombie movies until the cows come home, but after The Grudge I gave up haunting movies. Ghosts scare the crap out of me.
