Django is amazing. If you like Tarantino. . You have to remember that he adds realism along with comedy and over goryness. The realism is very uncomfortable at times because it is sad and horrible to think humans were treated like that in the past. But I would see Django. I've seen it and les mis and I would see it again.
I would go see Lincoln. I have friends that walked out of Django.

Really? What did they hate about it? I love his films so I'm expecting to like it alot.
Les Mis is amazing I'm sure but I'm not 100% sold on spending my afternoon hysterically crying.
They all had various reasons - overuse of the n-word to the point that it trivialized the seriousness. Graphic torture scenes ( I think the Newtown tragedy was on their mind). They weren't into the juxtaposition of something serious like slaverywith comedy. They said the laughing in the theater during some of the scenes weirded them out.I've always loved QT movies and his themes/ cinematography. I guess his movies play on your emotions and try to make you uncomfortable, but I don't know...I'd rather see " The Hobbit" these days... hehehe.
Also, I wouldn't see Les Mis because I'd also be Miss Waterworks. I'll wait for the video release.
Les Mis was amazing!! Even my DH liked it and he usually hates musicals. Django is too violent for me personally. Lincoln was good but it was a lot of talking...not too exciting IMO. They are all totally different!
Les Mis was good, not amazing. Jackman and Crowe are not singers and should never pretend to be so. The overall production was well done, but as a lover of the stage production, I was let down.
Lincoln was effing awesome... if you like historical dramas. All of the actors were great and it helps that they stayed extremely true to the story.
I don't love Taratino but I am intrigued enough to see Djano. The movie is extremely graphic but also very realistic. I've read some interesting stuff from the black community for and against it. I will probably red box it rather than see it in the theaters though.
I really want to see Promised Land with Matt Damon and Zero Dark Thirty but zero doesn't come out until next week I think.
PC I have heard that he can sing but after watching the movie I don't believe it. I thought his performance was cringe worthy. I don't get the love of him for this part. I thought his persona fit the role well but not his voice at all.
I thought Les Mis was great - there were actors who sang (Russell, Hugh, etc) and singers who acted (the english bloke for one) The actor singing wasn't studio quality but it was very realistic for the movie, imo. As a musician I did cringe at Russell's singing (part was too high for his voice type) but I'd totally watch it again.
The other 2 movies aren't out here yet, so I can't comment. I love Leo though, so I'd be all over his movie
