Never but we have really nice pots and pans. DH and I are kitchen snobs so our knives and pots and pans among other things are hand washed immediately when finished with use.
Yes. Ours aren't super nice, and we will probably never have super nice ones because we are fairly unwilling to buy things that are handwash only. I love having a dishwasher to do my work for me.
So what all you ladies are teaching me is that if I want to use the dishwasher AND have nice pans, I should get stainless steel. Right?
Now talk to me about the sticking, because I have literally never used a non non-stick pan (never used a stick pain? LOL). How bad is the sticking, really? Do you just grease everything?
Ours are non-stick, so no. The dishwasher fucks up non-stick stuff.
If I had crappy pots and pans I wouldn't care.
This. Before we got married, we both had old hand me downs, and didn't care. We got a set of VERY expensive pots and pans for a wedding present (from H's parents) and they are non-stick and specifically say they are not dishwasher safe. They have a lifetime warranty, and if we put them in the dishwasher, that warranty is void. We have a few old ones we hung on to for stuff we didn't want to use new pans on, and those do go in the dishwasher.
No. We have nice cookware. I'm afraid the dishwasher will mess it up. Plus it takes up a lot of space. It's pretty easy to clean so I just hand wash it.
Our dishwasher has a "pots and pans" setting but we don't use it.
Nope, it takes up too much space in the dishwasher. That and I just find it quicker to wash the one or two pots and pans right after dinner. H cooks, so I wash.
We did with the first set of Pots and Pans because they were very functional and okay for a while, but still cheap.
I just got a new set of cuisinart stainless steel cookware and those bad boys haven't been in the dishwasher yet. I live and breathe by Bartender's Friend. It keeps them looking new. LOVE that.

No. Ours aren't super nice, but we're in no position to replace them with the nicer ones that I want right now. I'm trying to take care of them to make them last.

yes. i don't ever feel like stuff is truly clean unless it's sanitized at 8 billion degrees. unless something is 100% not suitable to go in there, i just throw it in.
