You're fine squirrely, LC is dishwasher safe! I also have quite a few nice pieces that go in the dishwasher. As long as it doesn't specifically say "Not dishwasher safe/Handwash only," I throw it in.

yes. i don't ever feel like stuff is truly clean unless it's sanitized at 8 billion degrees. unless something is 100% not suitable to go in there, i just throw it in.

Yes. I have a good/decent set too and they go in the dishwasher. WHen I did my wedding registry, I originally registered for a set that could not be put in the dishwasher and I said fuck that when I realized and changed to a set that could be.
fwiw, I work for a company that does make pots and pans. It depends on what they are made out of. Some are perfectly safe to be put in the dishwasher, some are not. Some are fine to put in the dishwasher but will change color if they are in there. So you really just need to read the use and care on the kind that you have.
Do they get spotty when you do this? We just got a nice set for Xmas, but I've been babying them. Washing all by hand and doing the bottoms with barkeepers friend so they stay sparkly.
Our gets a little spotty at times but I use bar keepers helper on them which shines them up.

We never put our pots and pans or knives in the dishwasher. Ours are stainless so they would probably be fine, but I really like them and don't want to risk it.
