My H is in Guam and he has a pretty nice moped that we wanted to sell before we both left. There are some physical things that are wrong but nothing major. Well a young man came by today and gave my 750$ for it. He got about halfway home and called me and told me he wanted his money back. I asked him why and he said he felt like he got ripped off. Well he didn't, this moped was imported from Spain and had the engine re-built. The re-build only has like 400 miles on it. I called my Dad and asked what I should do because I've never had anything like that happen to me. He told me he bought it as is, knowing it was used. The kid said he was uneasy because he spent all his money on it so I just put it off to buyers remorse. Anyway he came back to our house and I pretty much told him I was sorry but he left with it and signed the papers so it's his not mine. I gave him a 150$ helmet with it so that he might be a little happier but I just feel like a giant ass about the entire thing.

Hell no you shouldn't take it back. No returns on used vehicles.
I actually had a guy attempt to do that when I sold him a car. He then proceeded to ask me out after I told him no. The grossest part of that is that he was buying it for his daughter to use in college, and I was only 23. Ick.

I wouldn't feel bad. He could have thought about it a little more before signing if he wasn't comfortable. You didn't hold him up at gunpoint. (or did you)

If you want, feel free to feel bad that the poor kid has bad decision making skills. You had no way of knowing that before he took it. Who knows, maybe he's just telling you a story to see if he can get part of his money back. Maybe he's used to getting his way like that.

Yea I'm not sure why I felt so bad after he left but I just did. After a few hours I feel much better about the situation. The more I think about it the more I'm pretty sure it tipped over on his trailer on his way home and something broke and he thought he could talk me into taking it back. When he left it was strapped down in the front when he got back it was strapped in the middle and the front panel was loose. Eh oh well I got paid
