I have the Healthy Version of America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook. I would like to make the creamless tomato soup. It calls for two tablespoons of brandy. I don't have any.
Is there a good substitute I could use, or would just omitting it be okay?
Update: I omitted the brandy. The soup was still very tasty. I did have to add some cumin to it, as salt and pepper just weren't cutting it as far as seasoning.
