I would have been more likely to eat meat and cheese on crackers or something. Lunchables would have been awesome and convenient and no need for heating. Throw in some rolls and DH could eat too
cheese and crackers sounds good. i didnt want real meals. honestly, a gift card to take out would be my first suggestion. I was sick of frozen meals people brought over and just wanted a restaurant meal

Ohhh this too. I got gift cards to seamless and it was amazing
Meat/cheese/bread personally or something ready to go in the oven. Someone gave us frozen soup and we didn't eat it until months later. I wasn't spending any time in the kitchen.

Is it bad that I don't even remember eating in those first few weeks. No wonder I had supply issues.
Add me to the quick and easy list. I didn't really care for the fancy hot meals. My luck I'd get caught up in something and it'd be cold before I got a chance to eat it. Cheese and crackers please?

We did this for one of the doctors where I work. His wife had a baby in Dec. and I suggested gift cards so the hubby could order take out. No one wants to cook. I know I didn't cook once on maternity leave and it was AMAZING!

What about some frozen hot pocket type things? I know someone posted ones by morning star the other day that looked a bit healthier. I know my SIL is having a hard time because she needs something she can eat one handed since the baby only wants to be held.
To go the homemade route, what about phyllo dough roll up things or puff pastry roll ups. Endless possibilities and easier than a bulky sandwich.

When Dylan was born, my friend brought me mini muffins. They were great! Two bites and they were gone but easy to eat while bf. After Lyla was born, my mom made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and I swear I lived on them for the first week home.
Ok how about some chocolate chip banana bread for a little sweetness and then sandwich fixins.
This is a great idea. I could not stop eating sandwiches after L was born. Also, what about a thing of bottled water? It sounds so stupid but for some reason that was so much easier right after L was born. Especially if she is going to BF and needs to drink every feed.
See I wouldn't have wanted gift cards. I get tired of eating out. Also, my husband worked such off hours that I would be the one loading up both kids to go get it. And I wouldn't have wanted Hazel eating out that much.
Yea I wanted them because I get everything delivered. No way in hell was I leaving the apartment.

No, I wouldn't have left to get food with a baby. It just depends on the situation. For this family he could have stopped by on his way home from work to grab dinner.

Or a Camelbak or something similar that holds a lot of water. I wouldn't have survived without a giant water bottle at my side all day
