DH and I moved into this house a couple of years ago from a very small townhouse because we knew we wanted to have kids. It's a great house but my commute to work is 90 mins one way and my family is about an hour away.
We decided we would move closer to my family (since dh's is not a reliable support system) and I would have a shorter commute. But we want to do it all before I go back to work on Apr 1.
We've both been busting ass all week to get the house ready and we're meeting with our agent tonight. I'm nervous, I want this thing sold!!!
I spend 60 mins on a train that is comfy. Pre kids it was a nice breather before and after a busy day. I'd read or knit, so it never bothered me. Now it's different, obviously. My commute will still be around 45 mins, but that's an enormous improvement for me!
Good luck! Do you guys to do St. Joseph thing is Canada? You buy a saint statue (apparently it works even if you aren't Catholic), bury him upside down in your yard and you are guaranteed a sale. No clue why but all of my co-workers swear by it.
I'm guessing you work in TO? What city are you planning on moving to?
H commutes Hamilton to Toronto driving. It's a terrible commute. Our next house will likely be in between Oakville and Toronto. Or I'll get a new job and we'll move easy of the city.

I'm not catholic but I did this when we wanted to sell our first house and it worked. We had only been in the house for 8 months and the neighborhood was declining fast. I was desperate to move. I ordered it off eBay, I think.
