I want to try out a recipe for an easy Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff Casserole. The recipe calls for adding the meat, then the uncooked extra wide egg noodles, then the other stuff, and then cooking on medium for six hours. I really want this recipe to work, but am afraid the noodles will become mush. Maybe because they are extra wide they'll hold up? Anyone cook egg noodles like this in the CP? If you were successful, what setting, and for how long? I have no medium setting, plus I will not be home to babysit this recipe.
