I can't find an inexpensive ($60 or less) non slutty pirate costume to wear for J's birthday pirate. I'm willing to spend up to $75, but I'd prefer to keep it less than that. All of the cool ones are more than $100 or way slutty, and I don't think it would be appropriate to dress as a pirate hooker.
This could look pirate-y with the right accessories. And you could wear it again. I would wear it again, but maybe I have the style sense of a pirate. I would pair it with some black capris and a belt around the shirt around your hips with a sword tucked in. Eye patch + pirate hate = money

Put your own together. I did that a couple years ago. Just bought some ugly out of style clothes at goodwill and cut/ripped/wore them down. Added in a bandana and I was set.
I probably could put my own together. I didn't even think of that. I've already got a calf length knit black skirt that is flowy. I also have a silk cream button up shirt that is poofy and has poofy sleeves.
If I can just find a kick ass corset or vest I think I would be in business.

You have a party city near you. They carry that sort of stuff year round. And fairly cheap. A pirate vest is about 12-20 dollars depending on quality. Then they also have finishing touches like bandanas, boot covers, eye patch, and costume jewelry.
