Does your kid topple it over? Liam has been using his activity table as a walker and it's really not working out in his favor. Would this one work? I'm nervous he will tip it over while pulling up on it..?
Mine hasn't started with the walker yet, but when DS1 did it I had to stand him up at it for a long time. It wasn't that same kind: www.amazon.com/Chicco-00071517000070-Baby-Jogging/dp/B0015XSRNS but he couldn't get the hang of it without pulling up and it driving away from him, if you KWIM.
Honestly it was pretty useless until he could WALK. He walked at 12 months and then he liked to drive it around.

Pey is using Wes's old one from when he was a babe. Buuuut Pey played with a friend's one time long ago. It didn't topple. It was a blue fisher price hippo. It's cute and converts into a ride on toy too.
We have the same one vthokie mentioned. Lincoln has toppled over in it a few times, but only because he doesn't stand in the center of it when he pushes it and tries to play with the stuff in the front while walking. He loves it though, especially the phone.
I got the VTech one. Luke loves it . It has this activity thing we can take off . He pulls up on it but doesn't know how to walk so he just stands there. The wheels lock and he isn't strong enough to push it anywhere.
I had no idea he was ready to try walking but then he stood up on his activity table and started pushing it forward and walking with it. Obviously, it's not made for that so he just ends up pushing it over or whatever. I didn't plan on even needing one of these for a while but now I think he would like it. GAH we have so much baby stuff already!
That one looks good Ernie!I was only leaning towards the Melissa & Doug one because there is a shop locally that sells it so we wouldn't have to wait for shipping/pay for shipping.

M has the same one too. She loves it. She's tipped it while sitting on the floor trying to pull up on it.
Thanks for all the great suggestions. I know this topic has been beaten to death. I'm just a lazy bitch who doesn't feel like googling the old threads. So, thanks!

We have that same one as vthokie too. Right now, she can't really do much with it, but like pp's said, the front part detaches to be a sitting toy and she loves that thing. And I'm constantly singing "welcome to our learning farm, we have much to show you!" lol But I like the wheel resistance thing. I tested it on my wood floors and carpet and it's pretty sturdy that way.
How do your LOs pull up on these things without it pushing away from them or pulling on top of themselves? Are they pushing up from the front? (not the handle side)
I don't think Madison will ever pull up. Shit always moves under her girth.

We got this one for christmas and haven't put it together yet because we have a walker/riding dog thing that he likes to use to stand:
It doesn't topple over as much anymore with him using it to stand but he has gotten a LOT better at standing and holding onto stuff, so that could be why. It took him a month or so. He started cruising in November.
We did use the alligator one at a friend's house and it is surprisingly sturdy, pretty heavy on the bottom. Her toddler likes to run with it and it gets REALLY noisy, but for a little one it should be fun. We'll probably put it together in a few weeks.

Lmao! Oh great now I will be dreaming of that tune..." welcome to our learning faaarm we have much to shoots youuu". Ahhhhhhh!
We have this walker too and DD freaking loves it. It's her only toy that has batteries and it's kind of like crack to her. She loves all the songs and noises and you can adjust the speed of the wheels so they won't topple over when they begin to walk on it. www.amazon.com/Juratoys-ABC-Buggy-Baby-Walker/dp/B004MMFCK0/ref=wl_it_dp_o_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2RX277AT1NQAB&coliid=IFGWN0NGJ6OPT We also have this one, which is also sturdy and doesn't topple over. The wheel speed on this doesn't adjust though, and she has only begun to be able to use this one for a week or so and be able to keep up with it.

LOL I sing the song all day too! Shapes and colors, music too, there's so much to do! Gaaahhhh get out of my head!
At home, we have that V-Tech train a few people have mentioned, but he can't stay up on that for very long. We also have this Playskool motorcycle: www.amazon.com/Rocktivity-Walk-Roll-Rider-Blue/dp/B0085UA7UA/ref=pd_cp_ba_0 He really likes it and can stay on it for a while. He does topple over sometimes, but it's NBD. He sits on it, scoots a little, and will stand up and bounce his butt on the seat. The seat pops up and can be used as a walker, but he doesn't quite get that yet. It will start moving forward and he stands still, causing him to fall.
I do think it's kind of tippy, when she first started using it she could pull it backwards on herself. Now she is fine though. I would not buy this particular one if I were buying one but it's not horrible, would just choose something a bit more stable perhaps with a wider base?
My mom got it for $2.00 at a church tag sale. Tyler loves it because he likes to stand and try to walk. It goes a little fast for him on our wood floors and small rug so we need to closely watch him and slow it down on occasion.

I don't think Madison will ever pull up. Shit always moves under her girth.
Usually Tyler pulls up on something else like the coffee table and then moves to the walker. Or I hold it still for him.
We have the M&D Chomp&Clack walker. Tommy is almost steady enough for it. I think it more intended for babies closer to standing independently than babies just pulling up - it isn't intended to be a pull up toy - it is a walking toy. Tommy still needs a little more support to pull up, so he isn't ready for it yet.
Adele started using it about 2 months before she walked independently.

Thanks, foozle. I was hoping someone would answer.
