Low: When poor Henry scared the crap out of us last night, looking like he might have pneumonia. He is fine - just a nasty cold and fever, thank goodness!
High - spending time baking a cake. It's been awhile since I really spent time baking. Yesterday's cake is a 6+ hour project. K is taking it to work today but she's required to bring a piece home to me.
Low - finding out that on top of the intestinal bug, snot, fever, and cough that JB has, she also has an ear infection. Oh, and puking up my entire dinner because brush my teeth causes me to hurl.
Highs: feeling like I got a lot accomplished this weekend (dismantaling old media cabinet/taking it to the dump, setting up new tvs/cleaning out a closet and rehoming a lot of stuff that won't fit in new media cabinet, getting the kids haircut...) Getting rid of our old tube tvs and joining the modern era of flat screens. Warm enough weather that the kids could run and play outside without being bundled up.
Lows: I am sad that my dad takes up so much emotional energy when he is here. By the time he left last night, I was toast. I wish it was just easier.
High-girls have so much fun building birdhouses with my dad at home depot and sledding with my parents. And L and i got some housecleaning done.
Low- doing the girls hair took forever this week. And carrot was tired from sitting and had a horrible bedtime. Complete with "if you are going to scream, you will have to scream in the garage" 9:30 pm blood curdling garage screaming

Low: My brood is still recovering from being sick with Peanut and C being laggers :-( . Also, our cable went out on Saturday...i.e. no TV or internet. I missed the damn football games.
High: Being introduced to the series The West Wing (C has all the episodes on DVD) and laying on C's shoulder last night as we watched.

High: Saturday E and I saw the Wizard of Oz at the children's theatre. There were fantastic costumes and sets and live music accompaniment. It was fantastic!
Low: Yesterday E watched entirely too much TV while I worked on taking down all the Christmas decor inside and outside of the house.
High: On Saturday my mom and I took the babies to visit some goats at a homestead supply store, and to the skating rink to watch big kids skate. They were only sort of interested, but that's fine - my mom and I had fun and I wanted to try taking them to see something just for them, instead of dragging them along on our errands.
Low: Trying to keep my chin up. Tough now that the distraction of the holidays has passed.
Highs - some really nice moments with C. The woman is a saint.
Lows - eh, most of it. I had to catch up on a ton of work, was kind of a mess emotionally, and ended the weekend feeling pretty drained. I feel better today.
