We are just starting a bunch this week. Mondays we will have a movement class, Thursdays a music class and Saturdays we have swim. Add that to the PT and OT she gets every week and I feel very busy! I'm hoping it will help the days go by faster.

No but im going to look into this. Let us know how she likes the classes! I want to do a baby gym class but i have to wait until Lou's a year to enroll him in the Saturday class. Thats the only class i could go to right now and they have to be at least a year.

That's great! There aren't a ton of options for such young babies in my area. Claire started gymnastics when she was 15 months and still does it, so I plan to do the parent/toddler class with Charlotte while Claire's doing her class as soon as she starts walking.
We don't do anything b/c it seems like all baby classes/activities/groups are during the work day and DH and I both work M-F, 7:30 - 4:30.
I am hoping to get DS in a swim class soon. It's on Tuesday nights and/or Saturday mornings. I tried in the fall and no one would return my phone calls.
No, nothing yet but I have been wanting to get her in swimming sooner than later. A lot of them are during the day when I am working but I did look into some Saturday ones. I don't think our variety is as great as yours sounds!

Nope. We go to playgroup on Tuesdays, that's it. Occasionally we do drop in music. DD is starting gym on Friday, though, and I'd like to do a signing class with DS. Maybe if we win the tantrum contest I could afford that
We start Music Together in 2 weeks, and once he starts walking we will do My Gym. That's it for now in terms of classes, plus he does a playgroup once a week. I did more with H at this age (yoga, mommy and me type things, etc), but I don't have the time now nor the need to get out and meet other moms the way I did with him.
I was planning to go to mommy and baby yoga, but it starts at 10:30 and Jamie just started moving his nap to 10/10:30. I already have a class card to the place so it wouldn't cost any extra money, so hopefully we'll start going at some point. It goes up to 18 months.
I'm looking into swimming lessons too. The music lessons by us cost a fortune and I'm just not willing to shell out $29/class every week. We do sometimes go to story time at the library, but I don't love it.
We do story time or music class at the library once or twice a week depending on naps. We have playgroup once a week and we go stroller walking with a group of moms once a week. We also did a month of swim lessons which we'll probably pick up again this summer. A friend just told me Gymboree does a free trial class so we'll probably try that out soon too!

I have not really felt inclined to with D since she plays with H so much these days. Any money and time running around is reserved for H's activities right now. When H starts swim again I will probably take D at the same time.
We do swim class and have since LO was 4 months old.. we are in South FL and just bought a home with a pool.. so I want to be prepared...
For those of you holding off.. Over the last 6 months of watching kids come and go in class.. I find that the younger you start the better.. the older (1-2) tend to freak out more where the babies tend to transition nicely... And dont get discouraged.. they will cry and fuss.. but it gets better.. Nicolas never cries at swim and nowlaughs and plays
We take a music class on Thursdays and we're in between sessions right now. I can't wait for the next one to start at the end of the month! I wanted to start a gym class this season, but since she's not crawling yet, I don't think we'll get much out of it. Movement and swim sound fun! I really love the baby class both for her and for me.
We do Gymboree Mondays and Fridays, swim on Saturdays, and PT on Tuesdays. Then I go to a meetup play group at the library on Wednesdays and often meet with a mom friend with twins on Thursdays. Gymboree used to be 3 times a week for the infant class. It's pretty crazy and makes the week fly by.
No, I'm holding off until they are older. We are heavily involved in a mom's group and go to all sorts of different places though (bounce houses, indoor play places, play dates). I'd like to get my toddler into swim this summer and into gymnastics this fall.
We're going to start classes at the Gymboree in Tribeca next month and swim classes in March. Where are you taking the movement class Trudy?
It's at body craft on PPW and 9th Street. The guy who runs it is great. V is in the pre crawler class but they have other levels that F would be good in if you're interested.
I just go to a center with other mothers once a week, get togther with a Mom's group in home once a week and will be starting Mother Goose once a week soon.
we go to Gymboree and just finished up a round of sign language. I was hoping to do swimming but the classes are in the middle of morning nap so we'll just go swimming on our own.
