Is anyone giving their baby this instead of Tylenol? I find that the Tylenol doesn't work for us. I have a box of the ibuprofen but haven't used it yet. It even has dosage directions for 6+ month olds and Tylenol doesn't even have that.
We've been using baby ibuprofin (advil/motrin) since Tommy was 6m old. It works so much better for teething and ear infection pain b/c it is an anti-inflammatory + pain reliver, not just pain reliever.
yes. Our pedi and our pharmacist both recommended this for teething over Tylenol. TBH, I think Tylenol works better for us, but every kid is different. hope it works for you!!
Yes, she had a fever and was sick last week and I was giving her advil the whole time. I have also given it before for teething. The one we have is grape flavor and she really likes it so it's not a struggle.

I prefer ibuprofen personally so I give her some too. Last night we were out and I had to use tylenol when she woke up crying (tooth). The tylenol seems to not last as long, after 5 hours she was up crying again and wouldn't settle. I've heard ibuprofen lasts 8 hours so I'm getting some today!
I hate tylenol for me, I thought it sucked that while pregnant all I could have was tylenol as it does nothing for me compared to ibuprofen.
Yeah, we're ibuprofen people here, too. We're actually doing children's instead of infants (on pedi's OK). The dosing is a bit different, but it's still cheaper per dose.
