My body changed shape and I have an extra belly pooch that I need to lose. So two things nothing fits and the clothes that do fit- I dont like. I realize that I havent bought new summer clothes in almost 2 yrs because last year I was pregnant at this time. However, being on reduced pay maternity leave means no money for buying clothes.
I bought a few new cute tops (3) but those are just for every day. Now tomorrow I have no dress for the ballet recital. And on the weekend, I am going out with the girls. First, I am so out of touch as to what to wear at all but I have nothing to wear
Ugh - I don't WANT to spend any money on clothes right now. I feel so hideous.
On Monday, I'm embarking on a month of "clean eating" to try and start feeling (and hopefully looking) better about myself. It will culminate in getting my hair did at the end of the month, which I haven't done in like 9mo. LOL.
I've purged my closet 3x since I was pregnant, and now have like 1 tshirt, 3 ribbed tanks, 2 pair of sweats and 2 pairs of jeans. I'm a mess.
I feel like ribbed tanks are the only thing that I look okay in. AND I can't wear them all the time sadly.

I feel the same way. And DD is 3, so I don't think it is going away. I have a lot of cute fall and winter clothes. I just can't find summer tops that fit me well. I do so much better with layering.

Can you go to the thrift store to find something? Maybe if you find something new it will help you to feel better about yourself. Its no fun to not be able to wear clothes you like and hard to get motivated when you already don't feel good.
My DD is 4 weeks, so I totally understand. I've been living in stretchy old navy skirts. I bought some cheap transition pieces at Kohls and Old navy. Otherwise check goodwill or a resale shop. My problem is my hips/thighs. I gain everywhere
I feel the exact same way. At least I am a SAHM so I can live in ribbed tanks and yoga pants or exercise shorts. I would like to at least find a pair of jeans that even fits me though. I even bought a pair a size up and I still feel like they are squeezing my stomach painfully. Ugh.
I do like those kimono style dresses though and got a bunch at walmart for ten bucks each. I wear those a lot. I just put a nursing top underneath and throw on some flip flops.

Satama, I am a SaHm, but it is way too hot for yoga pants when I go out And for some reason, when I go for a walk because. Live downtown, I feel like I should look decent since sll the people working or shopping look amazing. Well, ok, not all.
Old Navy has all their dresses on sale right now. You could get a couple that would get you through the summer. Or ditto the thrift store, I went and found the cutest gap denim dress that fits me now and will still fit next year when the baby weight is gone (hopefully!)
