Today is the first day in 20 days, due to the holidays, that I have been in the office. and away from her. She is refusing the bottle and her solids. She took 2 bottles in the 20 days but since she is such a chugger I wasn't worried about it. Her last real poop was Thursday and she has been pooping mush pellets since then. We did prunes yesterday, twice. She won't take the pears or liquids today.
I know that they do this and she will poop and she will eat but it sucks.
I feel bad for my nanny too. It is her first day back at work since her dad passed away, she got a ticket on the way over this morning, and D is crabby and refusing to eat/poop.
Think poopy and hungry thoughts (maybe think them at different times). Thanks.

Man, that's rough all around for all of you. Lots of hugs, poop vibes, and of course hungry vibes. Hope things are on the upswing for all of you. Maybe the routine will help your nanny too, I can't imagine how she feels
But a big poo is so satisfying, you know you want to, baby D!! Hope she's back to her normal bottles and poo-ing soon. And hugs to your nanny. Hoping things start to look up for her.

Thanks guys. So far just little rabbit pellets of poop and NO milk or solids for 8 hours :-(. But, she's happy apparently. I just want to be home but I can't leave yet.

I got home at around 5:30. By that time the nanny had convinced D to eat about 10 bites of pears and she had just refused her 3rd and last bottle. The bottle was still warm so I checked it to make sure it smelled o.k. and it did. I figured what the heck and tried to give D the bottle even though she never takes the bottle from me. The little stinker sucked it down and was pretty much smirking at the nanny. I transferred her to the nanny for the last 1/3 of the bottle , to see what would happen, and she finished it but it took a lot of work on the Nanny's behalf.
At least I know it isn't the constipation preventing the hunger strike. I'm surprised though because D is used to going Weds-Sun without bottles. Hopefully she will do better tomorrow. I guess I'll start having DH give a bottle on the weekend again. Although, I think it is more related to separation than the bottle because she looooved the bottle when I gave it to her.
On the poo front she got a few rabbit poops out. I decided against prune juice before bed but will be doing that right when we wake up.
When I worked FT w/ H she went on a hardcore nursing strike. Now I'm home more with D and she's refusing to eat when I'm gone. Silly girls.

Yeah it sounds like it is probably a combination of things making her not want the bottle, getting used to the nanny again, being constipated, etc. Charlie will do this when she hasn't been at my mom's for awhile, she'll be "off" and it takes a lot more effort on my mom's part to get her to take the bottle. It stresses me the hell out. Why didn't they make boobs detachable?
