We ordered Sophia's new big kid bed. It should be hre by the end of the month. And being masochistic, we are switching both girls in the same room with that transition. Anna has been really scared alone and flipping out at bedtime, and Sophia takes forever to put to bed and claims she just wants to "CUDDLE ANNA!". So we think the time is right.
I am not pregnant yet, but we figure for the next year or so until we have a baby, the spare room will be a guest room play room. I'll also keep the changing table and diapers in there.
So this is their bedroom set, two beds, one nightstand, one dresser with mirror and a bookcase. I am thinking of painting the walls a hot pink. They also want rainbows, so maybe decals? Curtains are white. Bedding? They like flowers, animals, princesses, butterflies.
I don't think I would do the whole room hot pink. That's a lot of "Wow" and kids rooms are already pretty "OMG WHERE DO I LOOK" with all the colorful toys and crap they have.
Maybe a soft pink, with some bright pink accents? I really like the furniture you picked. Do you want them to have identical bedding, or different but co-ordinating? I could see it being really cute if they both had different quilts, but both were the same colors overall.
Maybe like..
Personally I am not a fan of wall decals. What about getting some cheap frames from Ikea and doing some bright graphic prints?
