PIP. LR Update. How is this for better? ;)

Let me just say:

A) I am open to suggestions as to how to decorate the white table in the back. I'll take other suggestions at this point too.

B) I ditched one end table (moved to FR downstairs) and 2 lamps. I actually like it better. Less cluttery. We hardly used them anyways.

C) I will move the metal art up tomorrow or take it down entirely. I'll ask Hs opinion on that. It's on the same wall as the crib. There is nothing worth waking a toddler over..no matter how pretty.

D) The perk of being a farm girl..through and through...I moved that damn buffet all by myself. Contents in it and all. It's antique (was my g-gmas) and solid wood.

Looks way better! I love the chairs there! I'd take the glass jar with the berries down, I personally don't like things like that sticking up in front of windows...it looks weird from outside and it blocks the view.

Also, this is just personal preference because it looks fine....I would probably move the middle stained glass mirror down so they are all hung at the same level.

Love the tv on that larger piece, it works so much better on that big wall. I think what I would do on that wall is take down the metal art, and then hang something on either side of the tv....I am picturing a pair of frames, stacked one on top of the other on each side. So 4 frames total.

Do you have some punches of red you can add to the room? A red throw for the couch, or some red or white pillows?

Thanks! I will move the berries later on. Rubes gets a big kick out turning them off and on. When she's over it, we'll be done. The view out my window is a corn field..so no ever looks in from the outside anyways.

I can't do anything about the mirrors. When we first got them they were all level. They never stayed that way (heavy duty wiring on the back) and we're always off and looked messy. They're now wired tightly all together in the back, screwed to a think board and the whole thing is bolted (and I mean like pole barn spikes and metal anchors bolted) into the wall. I'll be dead before they come down.

I'm thinking of finding something better for the table tomorrow on my quick shopping trip. A local boutiqey store is having a huge sale and I have a gift card. That should help. I'll also see what I can hunt down for around the tv too.

I've got tons of red! It usually comes out in the spring and summer. I'll play with that all another day.

My kitchen is heavily accented in red too, so it's not as off with the red as the pics make it seem.

I love it!! I like that the buffet is the focal point. Fits the wall nice, and the rest of the room looks very spacious. The chairs have a good conversational flow.

Do you have a cute tray? That leather ottoman would look awesome with a tray on it to hold a stack of magazines and a candle. Or, you know, remotes and random crap.

Another thought- you could put the leather bench/ottoman under the mirrors, put the white stand away and put the two white square tables together where the ottoman is now, so u can still eat there...

I'm amazed at how quickly you do this posts and rearrange. The room looks more balanced and pulled together this way. Very nice. No good suggestions for you on the wall besides just taking the metal thing down for now.

I think the white tables would be too tall to replace the ottoman....it would look weird...I like things nice and low in front of a sofa.

But I like the idea of the ottoman going over by the door.....crap...dairy your house is like Jenga you have so much cool furniture around to swap/steal! LOL

And thanks peach! It's so nice to have pieces I can arrange on a whim, but it's damn frustrating sometimes to get everything the way I want. In my next lifetime I'm getting furniture that only fits in one place. JK. It is pretty fun!
