Are you planning in having any activities for the babies or adults?
I guess this depends on your crowd but I'm inviting about 8 kids (under 2 yrs old, a couple big kids) and a bunch of adults (family, friends, coworkers) besides cake and presents and mingling what are they all going to do? I don't want everyone to be bored!
we had a pinata at DSs first birthday, but there were quite a few toddler/older kids there. We also had party favors and lots of things to play on outside.
Eh, kids always find stuff to do. I've never had activities for DS1, or the parties he's been to. The few that did have activities, got ignored by the general craziness. I think maybe prepared games are for the older kids' parties? The little ones usually end up inventing some crazy games of their own and running around like maniacs.
Are you serving wine etc for the adults? That will give them something to do

In my experience people just eat while the kids run around The age of the kids we have come, though, doesn't lend itself to organized activity yet. I do plan on making these for DS's birthday....maybe. Might be messy, but fitting for a dino party: www.projectsforpreschoolers.com/make-your-own-dinosaur-eggs-fun-preschool-craft/
It'll be mostly adults. Our only activity will be drinking, lol.
This is how H's first two birthdays were. There were three other kids, all the exact same age. We made a big pot of chili, had snacks and drinks on hand ... was always awesome.
I'm making these in Dr. Seuss fabrics for his party favors -
If I get really motivated, I'll put each kid's name on them. If the kids get antsy or bored, they can color. But, the place we're having his party has a HUGE outdoor playground and lots of room to run around. If the weather is nice, we'll have no problems whatsoever.
We'll probably have 10 kids between one and six years old, plus some younger than Andrew. I still have to figure out what their favor is going to be.
we won't but we only will probably have a couple little kids... they'll find stuff to do. we will be entertaining the adults with beer, wine and food.
Same here. There is a large outside patio area at the restaurant we'll be having it at and they have a bocci court, that'll keep the kids entertained for ages I'm sure.
