After my terrible night, instead of posting a vent I am hoping to see everyone's good news! I need it today and it's always nice to focus on the good rather than wallow in tiredness. Haha.
So, my good news is that lately I've gotten back into reading. Currently I am reading Sense and Sensibility. I've always wanted to, but never got around to it. I love Pride and Prejudice so I'm hoping I'll love this one too. Reading makes me so very happy. ;D
After a long time struggling with a translation project, today the puns and 10-year-old boy rhyming taunts are just flowing out of my keyboard in English. It's so exciting! But so funny that I am emailing DH things at work like, "Do you think a 10-year-old boy would actually say- cherry, cherry, your ass is so hairy?" (For the Spanish, Calabaza, calabaza, tu culo huele a grasa.)
Well I already wrote so much that's good right now in a post I put up today ("what a difference a week makes"), and don't want to bore you all with writing it in 2 different places. So I'll list some simple pleasures I am grateful for: my house is clean and filled with beautiful bright pink peonies (I bought a bunch and then my neighbor brought over another big bunch so I have 3 vases filled with them around the house), and have the trimmings for a delicious lunch waiting for me in the fridge.
I ate an entire bag of chips with salsa for a snack. With an ice cream chaser.
Free range baby put herself to bed for nap again.
Oh, and my eldest has gone to school on time for two days in a row without teenage angsty emotional break-downs, temper tantrums, missed trains, stolen bike wheels, inappropriate outfits, or forgotten homework.

This is great! Last night H and I ate chips and my homemade salsa for dinner. After months of not making it it was a big treat! And we've been eating far too much microwavable food due the continuing lack of kitchen...
I got to see an early showing of Snow White and the Huntsman last night. It was really good! I didn't have any expectations so it turned to be good entertainment.
We had to sit in the third row though. The L was shutdown between a few stations due to a fire. I ended up on a bus but got stuck in traffic because of roadblocks from the fire. My usual 40 minute ride was 2 hours and 30 minutes! But the tickets were free! So it was nice anyways.

Last night we went out with Cousin and her DH to see WTEWYE, and the good news is that I didn't break down into an ugly cry in the movie, although there were many silent tears shed.
My other good news is that a good friend who was admitted into the hospital 26 weeks pregnant with bleeding and contractions 1-2 minutes apart has stabilized and they say if she doesn't have any more contractions before tomorrow that she can go home on bedrest.

Our anniversary is getting closer and two weeks from now we'll be at the Wynn celebrating ... Woohoo! My other good news is that yesterday we mounted the sconces in the living room and they look just wonderful! We finally have decent lighting, plus they completely transformed the space. Feeling accomplished

My good news is that my whole class (well, the group of us who do our rotations at this hospital together) passed our practical exam today! We had a written exam yesterday, and have an oral exam on friday, so we're all really stressed out. After the practical today, they sent an email saying that everyone passed! woohoo! Soooo close to being done with the semester!

I love all this good news, too!!
Popcorn, I'm sorry you had a rough night.
My good news--LO is going to day care tomorrow. I will get my first real stretch of guilt-free, toddler-free time since the end of February. Man, that's three months. There are soooooo many things I want to do. I am giddy with excitement!!
