*Update: Interview was meh. The owner I was interviewing with didn't seem to know what he was doing. LOL. He didn't ask any of what I thought were typical interview questions (no strengths, weaknesses, etc. questions), but I thought I totally nailed what he did ask. He was mostly interested in what I do now, and why I was looking for something else. He seemed a little taken back at the questions I had for him, almost like he didn't know how to answer them (maybe my ?? were just that good?). I'm not expecting anything to come from the interview, but I was glad to get the interviewing practice/experience. *
I sent out a cover/resume this morning and they called me on my lunch. The job sounds a lot like what I do now, but a little more involved which is exactly what I'm looking for. It's also 2 miles from my house. After the sh*tty morning I had at my current job (it was so bad I cried at my desk), I'm pretty excited. Even if I don't get the job, I'm happy I can get an interview. So...please send good job vibes! I'll post an update late Friday afternoon!
Interesting! I will say the weirdest interview I ever went on turned out to be my best job to date. The principal asked 800 not quite but still personal questions, we chatted about the weather and he threw in a "hey, can you teach a class of Spanish for me too?"
It was so odd, but it was a solid school so I took it and had a great time working there.
So you never know..some people just don't have interview style.
