My sister got engaged a few weeks ago. I'm so excited for her.
I just got off the phone with her BFF and we are starting to plan her bachelorette party weekend. I can't wait. We are going to Austin for one night of party hardy, spa day, and then a more low key night. Samantha will be a year old, and I can bring her to my parents house that weekend in Dallas with me.
There is really no point to this post other I'm really excited to party it up that weekend with my sister. I've been so tame for a long time, and I'm sure I'll go big or go home with my sis and friends that weekend.

I completely understand your excitement! I think we all need some fun, let loose time, especially after a long stretch of tameness from pregnancy and being a new mom.

Exactly. Between pregnancy, being a new mom, and breastfeeding, having fun isn't really high on my list of priorities.
This bachelorette party will be a good time to let loose and so will the wedding in November. After the wedding, we will try for #2!
That sounds fun! I also can't wait till my sister gets married someday. She's not even engaged but she and her bf have been together for 5 years and I'm assuming they'll make plans within the next few years at least. So excited. (fingers crossed they stay together and all that, lol!)

Oh man, they've been together for 5 years? And still no ring? How is your sister with all this?
My sis was with her fiance for 3 years, and they broke up for a bit because because she was like shit or get off the pot. They ended up getting back together, obviously, and the rest is history.

Lol! My sister and her bf are young! They started dating at 19 and 20 so they're only 24 and 25 now. They're not even thinking of marriage yet because they just moved to Seattle and are trying to get settled into "grown-up" life-- finding a job, being financially stable. I wouldn't expect them to get married for a few years.
It was kind of the same with MH and me-- we started dating at 20 and 21 and weren't engaged until almost 25 and 26.

Okay, my sis is 33. She is ready to get a move on it.
Yay! That is exciting! My sister just got engaged too (and is also 33 coincidentally.) Sisters' weddings and wedding festivities are fun! I hope you enjoy the celebrations while you are in that in-between-babies phase!

Awesome. Will you be able to attend all the festivities for your sister?

I am coming down to FL to go dress shopping with her and my mom and other sisters. I will definitely take a week off of work and come back for the wedding and I'm hoping that her maid of honor will plan a combined shower and bachelorette weekend so that I can come back for both of those too.
