Does anyone have any tips or tricks to share? Most of DD's clothes don't have tags for me to write on. Has anyone bought custom iron-on labels? Should I just try a fabric pen?
I got these for coats and school uniforms (since they all were the same jumper) www.etsy.com/shop/TheLollipopLabelShop I liked how you could order smaller amounts.
For daycare, I usually sent crappy clothes so I just wrote their name on the tags. Beware that Sharpies bleed on the silky tags. Check the side seam, you may have a tag there.
Why would you need to label her clothes?? If her clothes get dirty, don't they put them right into a bag and in her cubby to take home? And then just grab her extra outfit from her cubby to put on? Unless they wash clothes at daycare I don't see why they couldn't keep track. I have worked in 2 big centers and I run my own daycare and we never have kids label their clothes.
add me to the don't label group. I usually send the clothes I don't like and they stay in the cubby. If they need a new outfit, the dcp pulls out one from the cubby and puts the dirty on in a bag and back in the cubby for us to take home.

This is my thought too. She's starting next week but I'll speak to the teacher Friday to see if we really need to do this. It's a small center, but yeah, I don't see how things could get mixed up in an infant room.
i only label coats. on RARE occasion we'd get the wrong stuff back, but stuff like bibs. nothing major. and this one kid in her infant class was all decked out in burberry and janie & jack. i wanted to get some of that kid's clothes by mistake.
